Rebecca Bucciaglia
Rebecca has been a Conservation Agent for the Town of Bolton since 2017. Her work is a constant effort to balance wetland permitting, managing over 2,000 acres of open space with over 45 miles of trail and among other responsibilities working toward encouraging implementation of more climate-resilient practices. She has achieved a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies with minors in Biology and political science from Salve Regina University. Then achieved a Master of Science in Sustainability Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. In the past, Rebecca has worked for Cedar lawn tree a subdivision of Bartlett Tree Experts, and nonprofits such as the Worcester Tree Initiative. Always encouraged to become involved in the community she lives in, she has served on two other conservation commissions. Her current position allows her to protect natural resources while encouraging access for the community to both understand and enjoy these resources. She hopes by providing educational opportunities and engagement other commission members, staff and applicants approach the wetland permitting realm with a more clear understanding of its purpose for each municipality and on a regional scale. When not at work or tracking wildlife, Rebecca is ecstatic to be doing anything that gets her outdoors and physically active; from camping with her two dogs, hiking, fishing to practicing archery she’s most likely to be found outdoors.
