Jennifer Steel, Co-Treasurer

Jennifer Steel is currently the Chief Environmental Planner for the City of Newton. After graduating from Wesleyan University she taught for several years. After getting a Master’s degree from Duke University, she worked with EPA and NOAA on large-scale marine research and management programs and with Mass Audubon’s Advocacy Department. But it is the role of Conservation Agent where she found her niche: where natural resource regulation and education converge. She has been a Conservation Agent for over 20 years, serving the municipalities of Maynard, Framingham, Uxbridge, and Newton. She is an eager biker, hiker, and Ultimate Frisbee player and serves as Vice-Chair of the Wayland Planning Board.
